Members of the 6th Grade Band include: Rachel Strouse (flute), Kaci Ruff (clarinet), Trinity Evans (clarinet), Mackinze Dennis (clarinet), April Shiflett (clarinet), Dusty Green (clarinet), Dakota Dowd (alto sax), Quinten Cantrell (bari sax), Journey Kendall (trumpet), Kirsten Graves (trumpet), Dillon Seckington (snare), Tanner Berry (snare), Clayton Raymos (snare). Banner carriers for the band were 5th grade band members: Audrey Holcer and Kacey Waterman.
Besides the 6th Grade Band, the Marching Eagles also
participated in the parade playing performing their award-winning routine to
Party Rock Anthem. The parade was just
one of many activities taking place during the day. There was a community breakfast, craft and
fun booths in the park, a quilt show, a baby show and a lip sync
competition. The Marching Eagles’ next parade
will be Saturday October 20th at the Truman State University
Homecoming in Kirksville, MO. The
Marching Eagles are led by Senior Drum Major Kasie Boyd and are under the
direction of Mr. Dustijn Hollon, who is the Director of Bands at Meadville
R-IV.
