On Thursday, December 13th, Meadville R-IV Schools’ Music Department presented their annual Christmas Concert to a packed house in the gymnasium at the school.  The full evening of entertainment started with the Preschool and Kindergarten

The 5th Grade Band then performed “Jolly Old St. Nick,” “Farm Out,” and “BINGO.” The 4th Grade Band then performed on hand bells “Away in A Manger” and “Jingle Bells. The 6th Grade Band played next, “Theme from Surprise Symphony,” “Parade of the Tin Soldiers,” and  “We Three Kings.” After the final band performed, GleeM Showchoir took the stage and performed “Santa Baby,” “When Christmas Comes to Town,” and “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.”  Then it was time for the elementary choruses to take the stage.  First, 1st , 2nd, and 3rd Grades sang “2 Front Teeth,” and “Frosty the Snowman,” and “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer.” Next 4th, 5th and 6th Grades took the stage and sang “Holly Jolly Christmas,” “Let it Snow,” and “Jingle Bell Rock.”  To finish off the concert, 1st through 6th Grade sang “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” together.  After the concert was over, the Meadville JH/HS Band hosted a taco bar free-will donation dinner in the school’s cafeteria.  The Band would like to thank everyone that attended the dinner and for their generous donations to the program.  The music program at Meadville Schools is under the direction of Mr. Dustijn Hollon.
